Terms & Conditions

Applicable to the users of SANAD Assist ("App") and associated digital healthcare services provided.

1. Scope of Services

The App provides access to healthcare and wellness services facilitated by SANAD Assist through selected Service Providers, including but not limited to:

  • Teleconsultation with licensed doctors.
  • Optional Second Medical Opinion (SMO) from external specialists.
  • Optional Home Country Treatment (HCT) / Medical Tourism facilitation for treatment outside your current country of residence.
  • Chronic Disease Management (CDM).
  • Digital Health Assessments (where applicable).

Services are delivered in accordance with your insurance plan or membership benefits. Some services may be free for eligible members; others may be charged on a pay-per-use basis.

2. Clinical Oversight

  • All consultations are conducted by licensed healthcare professionals exercising independent clinical judgment.
  • For SMO and HCT/Medical Tourism, SANAD Assist acts as a facilitator and is not responsible for clinical outcomes or decisions made by external specialists or hospitals.
  • Providers may recommend in-person care when deemed necessary.
  • Prescriptions are issued only when medically justified and in line with applicable regulations in the Provider's jurisdiction.
  • Teleconsultation services are not available directly to patients under the age of legal medical consent in their jurisdiction. A parent or legal guardian must provide consent and be present (or immediately available) during any consultation with a minor. Where local laws restrict or prohibit remote care for minors, services will not be provided.

3. Data Sharing & Privacy

By using the App, you consent to:

  • Secure sharing of your medical records, reports, and relevant personal data with selected Providers, external specialists, or hospitals, including across borders, to deliver the requested services.
  • Use of your data for service delivery, quality assurance, and operational purposes, in accordance with applicable privacy and data protection laws.
  • Retention of your data for as long as legally required or operationally necessary for service delivery.

4. Payments & Charges

  • Eligible members may access certain services at no additional cost, as determined by SANAD Assist.
  • Optional services such as SMO, HCT, specialist consultations, travel, accommodation, or treatment costs are your responsibility unless covered by a valid Guarantee of Payment (GOP) from your insurer.
  • Payments must be made via approved secure channels before service initiation, unless otherwise agreed.
  • VAT/taxes may apply as per local laws.

5. Refund Policy

  • Refunds (if applicable) will be processed to the original payment method.
  • Services provided through your insurance or employer plan are covered as per their terms.
  • Additional services (e.g., subscriptions, second opinions) may require direct payment.
  • Paid services are non-refundable once delivered.
  • If a service is unused and cancelled within 7 days, a partial refund may be processed (excluding bank or transaction fees).
  • No refund is available for services involving third-party coordination after initiation.
  • Costs already incurred for services rendered (e.g., consultations, document processing) are non-refundable.

6. Use of the App

  • You are granted a non-exclusive, limited license to use the App for personal healthcare purposes.
  • Commercial misuse, reverse engineering, or unauthorized access is prohibited.
  • Compatibility with all devices is not guaranteed.

7. Third-Party Services

  • Your device manufacturer, network provider, or payment gateway may apply separate terms and fees, which are your responsibility.

8. Limitation of Liability

  • SANAD Assist and Service Providers are not liable for delays, connectivity issues, or service interruptions beyond their control.
  • Recommendations for SMO or HCT are advisory; the decision to proceed rests solely with you.

9. Governing Law

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Bahrain. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of local courts.

10. Acceptance of Terms

  • By registering on the App or using any service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
